Founder of a Progressive School for Painting, Michael Lane is a mid-career artist living and working in Seattle, Washington in the United States.
He was an early participant in the representational painting revival of the 1990s at the same time that the school of art known as Perceptual Painting was being born at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
An in-demand instructor for many years, he opened Seattle Atelier, School for Perceptual Painting on October 9, 2014.
His refined works are sought by collectors.
